EligibilityOfficers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government or Autonomous or Statutory Organizations:
1. Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
2. With two year service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in pay band -4 (Rs37400-67000/-) plus Grade Pay of Rs.8700/- [Level-13 Rs.118500-214100/- in the pay matrix] or equivalent in parent cadre/Department.

Essential Educational Qualifications and Experience:
(i). Doctorate Degree in Entomology or Nematology or Plant Pathology or Weed Science or Organic Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Agricultural Chemistry from a recognized university or Institute.
(ii). 12 years practical experience in a supervisory position in the control of pests or locust or plant diseases and their management including experience of conducting applied research in this field.
(iii). 3 years administrative experience.
