Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2018 : Indian Coast Guard Ministry of defence has released a notification for the recruitment of Yantrik posts 02/2018 BATCH. Eligibility Criteria: 

• Educational Qualification: Diploma with 60%

1.   Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic & Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering.
2.   Approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
3. 5 % relaxation for SC/ST candidates and outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position.

• Age:

1. Minimum 18 years and Maximum 22 years.
2. born between 01 Aug 1996 to 31 Jul 2000 (both date inclusive).
3. Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

Selection Process:  Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test and Medical. The candidates physically challenged are not eligible to apply for this post

• Written Exam:

1.   written tests will be objective type.
2.   questions from their respective branch (Mechanical /Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication)
3. some questions of general knowledge, reasoning aptitude & English.

• Physical Fitness Test: 

1. Those who qualify written tests will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
2. The testing procedure will take 2-3 days.
3. Candidates must have own Sport Shoe, T shirt, Trouser at the time of PFT
4.  The PFT will consist as under:-
   (i) 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
   (ii) 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
   (iii) 10 Push ups.

• Medical: 

1. Height: Minimum height 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.
2. Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
3. Weight: Proportionate to height and age +10% acceptable.
4. Hearing: Normal
5. Visual Standards: 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for Better Eye and Worse Eye respectively.
6. Tattoo(s): Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body. However, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal areas communities as declared by the Govt. of India
